(And not for the first time - the first such term they invented was "Santorum", which means "mix of fecal matter and lubricant which results from anal sex" and was named for politician Rick Santorum.) I don't know how common the practice actually is, but considering that I have seen polls show that a very significant minority of people don't consider anal sex to be "real sex", and a slight majority don't consider oral to be either, I wouldn't be surprised if it actually was widespread enough to deserve naming.

Also apparently hardly anyone considered "bagpiping" (armpit sex) to count as sex in the one poll I saw it included. And apparently a lot of young people are completely unaware that women are capable of enjoying sex - even some young women think that the entire purpose of sex is for the guy to get off.

However, this kind of rampant ignorance and idiocy appears to be mostly an American phenomenon, at least in the industrialized nations. But then again, most other such countries actually give
teenagers a better sex ed than just "this gets you preggers. don't do it!"Not Menoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2770580070906411828.post-72323545372410274592009-06-04T22:45:45.930-04:002009-06-04T22:45:45.930-04:00Has anyone confirmed that this is a real, widespre...Has anyone confirmed that this is a real, widespread phenomenon, and not just a titillating jab at Fundies?Brunohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11545875839887483257noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2770580070906411828.post-89565917773664237722009-06-04T18:48:33.546-04:002009-06-04T18:48:33.546-04:00It bothers me because it implies that oral sex et ...It bothers me because it implies that oral sex et all is not truly "Sex." So if you do not want to or cannot have the typical definition of sex with a penis going into vagina, saying that oral sex et all "Doesn't count" is like taking sex away & minimizing it for those who would really like it but it just isn't working out for one reason or another. Which just doesn't seem fair to me since that upholds this intercourse-centric view of sex. Which causes me quite a bit of personal of anxiety & insecurity.Khttp://feministswithfsd.wordpress.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2770580070906411828.post-83705989978322109722009-06-04T15:30:17.416-04:002009-06-04T15:30:17.416-04:00It's the hypocrisy of it all. There'd be ...It's the hypocrisy of it all. There'd be no problems if they were just doing it to not get pregnant, but most of them are super religious kids who honestly believe they are still virginal after such things. They're ridiculous children who don't want to admit they're no longer "pure".

Or at least that's the problem I have with it.
