Good and Bad.

Good: Discovering that trading massages with Rowdy really is a "you mean I can have candy with every meal?" situation. (Except without the part where that would be kind of gross after two or three meals, and massages are perpetually awesome.)

Bad:
Abruptly coming down with a massive fever on the way to a play party. I really really really wanted to go, I was actually at a train terminal halfway there, and *WHAM* my body informs me that I'll be lucky to stay upright. (This "wham" later clocked in at 103.8F. Damn.) I wussed out and went home alone. Ugh.

  1. That's not wussing out, that's being sensible. Hope you feel better soon!

  2. Bummer. Tylenol. It works on adults, too. :) (As I discovered last month fighting my own 103 degree fever.)

Remember: no more than 1000 mg at a time, and no more than 4000 mg a day.

If you like Pho, I find it to be an excellent "I'm sick" food. Good for hydration, and still tasty even when you can't taste.

  3. Oh, and I hope you feel better soon. Dangit, this is what I get for posting comments right after I wake up. :) Knew I was forgetting something...

  4. I loooove pho! Although unfortunately pho availability in Boston is sparse so I'd have to travel somewhere to get it, and that's neither comfortable nor considerate right now.

    ...hmm. Maybe on Foodler?

  5. Ahem. Going home when you have a fever isn't wussing out; it's being considerate, because having you passing out at the party would be a downer. *grins*

  6. Feel better. I punk out on massively fun things because because my health status fails to cooperate. It is so frustrating, especially because I have an absolute abhorrence of missing out on fun.

Hopefully there will be another, just as awesome, play party soon, when you're feeling well.

  7. Ugh, I hope you feel better! There'll be plenty of other parties.

  8. I know I've gotten pho via Foodler but that was in Woburn. (What delivers to me here, which is IIRC nearer to where you are, is much more limited.)
